Description of Position:     This position is responsible for providing direct evaluation, counseling and education services to individuals in treatment.   The work involves facilitating overall case planning for clients and their families and maintaining all necessary documentation of a client’s involvement in treatment.  In addition this position also serves as a team leader for members of the substance abuse counselors, provides assistance to the Manager, and participates in the multidisciplinary team planning.  Supervision is provided by the Manager of CADS Residential and Outpatient Services or Manager Riverside Residential and Outpatient Services.

The primary role of the RN is the execution of the nursing process in providing required care and evaluation of the care given. Responsibilities include: assessment, nursing diagnosis related to focus problem areas, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
