We are looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to work in our Cardiology Clinic. Work hours will be days, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, for 80 hours per pay period.
UnityPoint Health - Dubuque offers an outpatient cardiovascular clinic, staffed by two board-certified cardiovascular interventionalists and a supporting Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm, along with an after-hours answering service to help address patient needs. We evaluate and treat adult cardiovascular conditions and offer same-day appointments as needed.
Assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information preparing patient for examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures. Responsible for tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests and procedures to regularly follow patients monitoring disease status.Schedule referrals for patients with specialist or outpatient as requested by the provider. Complete appropriate forms or requisitions needed for referrals or lab testing, including appropriate CPT/ICD-10 coding. Answer questions and provide teaching to patients and family members.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Cook position is responsible to produce menu and special event food items following standardized recipes and systems to ensure food and sanitation standards are met. The Cook is responsible for the provision of safe meals by following strict HAACP regulations, Sanitation and Safety guidelines. provide assessment of psychosocial factors that influence a patient’s health with connection to community resources to alleviate barriers. Works in the primary setting of the Emergency Department but can be asked to serve in various areas of the hospital setting providing direct care and emotional support, transition planning and facilitation, and advocacy.

The Flight Paramedic is responsible for providing safe, reliable patient care as defined by the Iowa Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Scope of Practice for the Critical Care Paramedic and as authorized by the LifeGuard Medical Director in both the transport and hospital settings in coordination with the Flight Nurse. The Flight Paramedic collaborates with physicians and other health care providers to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care while demonstrating LifeGuard Standards of Excellence. The Flight Paramedic participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care team members in the transport and hospital setting. The Certified Public Safety Officer is to provide a safe and secure environment for all of UnityPoint – Des Moines properties. Provides input in developing security procedures, which address the day to day physical security needs of UnityPoint – Des Moines. The Public Safety Officer will assist with patients, visitors, and staff as needed or requested. The Public Safety Officer responds to emergency and routine requests including all internal 911 calls for service. The Public Safety Officer documents relevant calls, conducts investigations as appropriate, monitor’s security cameras, and other equipment as directed. Consistently utilizes a holistic approach (considering physical, Psyche/Social, spiritual, educational, safety and related criteria), appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned service area.
