As an Experience Specialist/Receptionist, you are the first person to greet patients as they walk into our clinics. Primary duties will include checking-in patients, assisting with scheduling, answering phones, processing co-payments and follow up appointments as needed. Customer service, empathy and compassion are the biggest assets in this position.

Functions as a Pharmacist as defined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners. Responsible for providing all aspects of pharmaceutical care, including clinical and distributive tasks, for patients served within UnityPoint Health – Des Moines locations. Certified Medical Assistant

Assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information preparing patient for examination, treatment and procedures. Responsible for tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests and procedures to regularly follow patients monitoring disease status. Schedule referrals for patients with specialist or outpatient as requested by the provider. Complete appropriate forms or requisitions needed for referrals or lab testing, including appropriate CPT/ICD-10 coding. Answer questions and provide teaching to patients and family members.

Description of Position:

The RN is responsible for the delivery of safe and reliable patient care, in coordination with the healthcare team. The primary role of the RN is the execution of the nursing process in providing required care and evaluation of the care given. Responsibilities include: assessment, nursing diagnosis related to focus problem areas, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Performance of these responsibilities requires specialized knowledge, critical thinking and skills based on principles of psychological, social, physical and biological sciences that utilize the nursing process.
