RN covers detox and medically monoitors crisis beds. Required RN position for SUPR regulations for this level of care. Passes medications, conducts nursing assessments, monitors detox patients, and fulfill physician's orders.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the use of evidence-based practice through the nursing process, protocols and procedures. (40%)
  • Coordinates the interdisciplinary care of the patient through collaboration with team members and utilizes additional resources when necessary. (30%)
  • Assesses and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient's/family's age specific needs. (10%)
  • Actively participates in data collection, analysis, problem solving and gives input on process improvements and patient satisfaction.(10%)
  • Basic UPH performance criteria (10%)

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate from a Nursing Program.
  • BSN Preferred

Experience:

  • Required 1-2 years experience working as an RN
  • Preferred 1-3 years experience working in addiction, behavorial health or related field

License/Certification:

  • Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
  • CPR required within 60 days of start date
  • Valid drivers license
