Team Lead - Human Service Center


Full-Time, Benefitted


Position exists to provide clinical care to consumers in an outpatient substance abuse treatment setting.  This position also provides on-going supervision and leadership to team members.


Provides clinical services as prescribed by the program or situational requirements. Basic clinical services are counseling to the individual, group, and case management.  In addition, couple or family work may be provided.  As a part of the treatment process, assessment and re-assessment are consumer-centered and ongoing.

Values/Attitudes:  Counseling promotes recovery, establishing a framework of action to enable the consumer to reach specified goals they identify.  Assessments are to be sensitive to consumers’ characteristics and needs, and are to be goal based.  Assessments are based on a review of current situation, screening techniques and available information to determine the most appropriate course of action.  Information is gathered throughout the intake and treatment process and integrated into a coherent and dynamic understanding of the consumer.

Values/Attitudes:  Honest and open and respectful communication is necessary among all members of the agency and with the people we serve.  We demonstrate interest in the viewpoint of others and pay close attention to information provided.



Values/Attitudes:  Consumers are best served in a setting where staff have ongoing opportunities to review clinical work and improve skills.  Supervision is a critical component of providing good clinical care.


Education and/or Experience:


Prefer Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health care or allied fields, or CADC certification.  Will accept five years’ experience in behavioral healthcare in lieu of degree. Prefer prior residential experience in substance abuse treatment setting.   Requires basic computer skills and familiarity with a Windows environment.
