Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the department. Supervises, schedules, supports and develops staff members. Collaborates with physicians/offices and other health care workers, to provide medical imaging and patient care while maintaining professional standards.
Communicates with others to ensure correct supplies and staffing requirements are met. Demonstrates effective leadership skills and role models UnityPoint Health FOCUS Values. Successful performance of these expectations will contribute to an increase in both quality care and patient/family satisfaction.
Certified and holds current registration with the ARDMS or the ARRT in Sonography.
Clinically proficient as a sonographer in performing diagnostic procedures, including vascular ultrasound, on patients of all ages.
Prefer 1-2 years of experience in US in the hospital environment, and demonstrated leadership abilities of transitioning from peer to supervisor position.
