  • Overview

    This is a rotating shift position that could be 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts between the hours of 0600-2030. Monday through Friday with on-call obligation for weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Candidate must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on-call.

     

     

     

    Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing. Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing required or comparable experience. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. Ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients. Ability to assume responsibility for personal and professional growth. Able to meet the physical demands on file in the Human Resources Department.

    Responsibilities

    To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance. To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Hospital. To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise.

    Qualifications

    Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing. Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing required or comparable experience. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. Ability to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.
