Surgical Services RNs are needed to work at one of the nation's most integrated health systems.
UnityPoint Health - Trinity operates four full-service hospitals in Rock Island and Moline, Illinois, and Bettendorf and Muscatine, Iowa, with a total of 584 licensed inpatient beds. It also includes affiliated entities the Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences, the Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health, Trinity Health Enterprises and the Trinity Health Foundation.

The Surgical Services provides that latest technology for orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery and microsurgery, including the Da Vinici Robotic Surgical System.

Demonstrates competence in the skills, (critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical) necessary to carry out assigned duties. Demonstrates competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs should be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served as appropriate for each responsibility.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing. Previous acute care experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS: The following is required:
Knowledge of the nursing care required for patients throughout the age continuum;
Ability to use the nursing process;
Knowledge of teaching/learning theories;
Ability to critically think, problem solve; plan, organize, and coordinate patient care activities;
Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois and Iowa. Current CPR Certification required. ACLS certification must be ascertained prior to completion of orientation to the department. PALS certification preferred.
