The HR Business Partner is a Human Resources Generalist with extensive knowledge in all areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to, Performance Management, Talent Management, Employment Law, On Boarding and Off-Boarding.


Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, employment, employee recognition, HR compliance, compensation, and benefits administration.


  1. Partner with respective leaders to help achieve people goals for the department/unit/organization.
  2. Consult with management and employees providing Human Resource policy guidance and interpretation.
  3. Ensure compliance with Company policies and ensure a consistent practice.
  4. Employee Relations – Provide HR consulting expertise to all levels of management and employees. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  5. Ensure consistent discipline practices and legal compliance.
  6. Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to–day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
  7. Provide input and guidance on business department/unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning, and acquisitions.
  8. Conduct regular meetings with assigned leaders/Directors
  9. Identify training needs for business departments/units and individual employee /manager coaching needs.
  10. Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the Human Resource group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  11. Identify any compensation issues and recommend solutions. Assist with wage calculations in accordance with organizational compensation structure.
  12. Provide support for performance review and merit increase process.
  13. Develop and maintains effective job descriptions.
  14. Provide on boarding support including orientation.
  15. Identify problems central to business strategy and forecast potential obstacles to success.
  16. Provide guidance and information regarding FMLA, LOA, and Workers Compensation.
  17. Provide guidance during the termination process and conduct exit interviews as necessary.
  18. Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. Acts as a single point of the contact for the employees and managers in the business unit
  19. Manage complex and difficult HR projects cross-functionally
  20. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and regulatory agency standards.


    1. Establish effective mechanisms of communication with staff, providers, patients and the organization’s management team to foster an environment of openness, trust, team work and staff development.
    2. Be aware of what is happening in clinic/department and the organization by attending clinic/department meetings, reading emails and regularly checking information on the organization’s intranet site.
    3. Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.
    4. Maintain compliance with Personnel policies and procedures.
    5. Behave in a manner consistent with all Compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures.
    6. Monitor environmental conditions in order to secure protected health information.
    7. Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
    8. Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other’s views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the Human Resources department.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, healthcare or public relations field or related field or related education and experience.
  2. Two years’ experience in Human Resources.
  3. PHR Certification preferred but not required
  4. Ability to exercise initiative. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and organize work to meet deadlines.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
