Responsible for providing transportation services for GCMH residents. Supports the mission, vision, and core values of GCMH.
A. Supporting the mission, vision, and core values of the organization.
B. Perform quality transportation services for residents traveling to appointments, events, and activities.
C. Display the knowledge to safely drive all GCMH vehicles including cars, vans, and buses.
D. Complete any and all assigned transportation tasks as directed by the LTC Administrator.
E. Identify and execute the most efficient methods to safely completing scheduled work load.
F. Demonstrate punctuality when picking up/dropping off residents and completion of all required documentation for services in a timely manner.
G. Interact with residents and staff in a positive manner while performing job duties.
H. Observe residents during interactions and reports resident abuse or anything unusual about the resident to a charge nurse or the LTC Administrator.
I. Ensure all GCMH vehicles are returned in good condition.
J. Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and well organized vehicle that are safe and appealing to GCMH residents.
K. Required to follow all traffic laws while operating GCMH transportation equipment.

High School graduate or equivalent.
Valid Iowa driver’s license and chauffeurs license. If not chauffeurs license, must obtain within 6 months of hire.
Good driving record that meets insurance company requirements.
BLS certification or willing to obtain certification.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
