PRIMARY FUNCTION AND RELATIONSHIP TO TOTAL ORGANIZATION:
Coordinates the physical therapy plan following completion of the assessment as defined by Iowa Licensure requirements. Provides and delegates clinical rehabilitation services to improve functional outcomes, focusing on gait training, mobility, pain control, strengthening, balance, and coordination activities. Acts as a resource to the interdisciplinary team, applying skills of the profession to improve outcomes of persons served. Actions are team oriented to successfully provide quality care and a high level of satisfaction for persons served through evidence - based practice.
Supervisor of assigned department.
Provides daily direction to patient care support personnel as defined in the Iowa Physical Therapy Regulations and Practice Act. May provide clinical supervision to PT/PTA students and PTAs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

n Activity up to 33% of an 8-hour shift (up to 2 hr and 38 minutes of a shift)
n Activity 33-66% of an 8-hour shift (2hr and 38m to 5hr and 17 minutes of a shift)
n Activity 66-100% of an 8-hour shift (5hr and 17minutes to 8 hrs of a shift)
· Reports any questions or concerns regarding compliance immediately to the attention of department or organization/hospital administrative staff. (C)
