Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Department.
Position will be Part Time: 20 hours per week.
Shifts: Primarily 1900-0300. Will include weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Triage Responsibilities (if assigned)
Education: Bachelors in Nursing preferred. Refer to Voluntary BSN Agreement form. Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
Licensure: Current RN Licensure in state of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence
Ability to delegate wisely, exercise good judgment, maintain positive interpersonal relationships, adapt to change, evaluate critically and think creatively. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills required for specialized area of assignment. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care appropriate to patients of all ages. Certifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). Completion of hospital-approved Critical Care course within one year of employment.
ED RNs are a member of the Primary Stroke team and require 4 hours of annual stroke education.
