Overview

The Director of Research is responsible for promoting, directing, and administering research activities across IMMC, MWH, ILH, BCH, and affiliated sites. This role advances the organization’s research mission by fostering engagement with external funding agencies, developing collaborative research partnerships, and representing the research interests of UPHDM at the state, regional, and national levels. 

The Director also supports research initiatives aligned with Trauma Level I designation requirements and ensures the integration of research across clinical and academic programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist all UPHDM programs with research accreditation requirements in meeting such standards and ensure a culture of scientific integrity and professionalism.  
  • Promote and assist with the development of research and research culture within UPHDM.  
  • Oversee budget, scientific direction, scholarly productivity, and management in all research areas.  
  • UPHDM Provide direct and indirect oversight and support of the Health Sciences Library in order to ensure that the Health Sciences Library achieves the mission of providing effective and efficient research and educational support to the institution and the system. 

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Master’s Degree required. 

 

Experience: 

  • Five (5) years post-terminal degree experience as research administrator required.
