In this role, you will assist in managing patient care, applying your nursing expertise across a variety of tasks. From administering medications and performing nursing procedures to providing patient education and coordinating care, you will play a vital role in our clinic’s operations.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide high-quality nursing care and support the delivery of primary healthcare services in a clinic setting.
  • Assess patient needs, collect health histories, and develop care plans within scope of licensure.
  • Administer medications and perform clinical procedures, including IV therapy and urinary catheter placement, as permitted by licensure.
  • Conduct telephone triage, evaluate patient concerns, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care using established protocols.
  • Document patient assessments, care, and communications accurately within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with providers, specialists, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Monitor test results and patient status, taking appropriate actions and communicating findings within scope of practice.
  • Support and guide clinical team members through delegation, oversight, and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, privacy, and organizational policies while delivering exceptional customer service.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa for Registered Nurse.
  • Mandatory Reporter certification
  • CPR certification.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Meets educational/competency requirements per policy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
