As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized treatment interventions across a variety of care settings. Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to therapy technicians and students while actively contributing to staff meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and committee work.  
  • Support a strong, team-based environment that promotes shared learning and high-quality patient care. 
  • Take ownership of ongoing professional development by identifying learning needs, pursuing education, and staying current in physical therapy practice, technology, ethics, and regulatory standards.  
  • Embrace feedback, build new skills, and contribute to the growth of peers, students, and the broader therapy team. 
  • Maintain a commitment to excellence in clinical, fiscal, and regulatory responsibilities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning that enhances patient outcomes and therapy services. 

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program with an associate’s degree; a certificate from an accredited PTA program is acceptable where recognized to meet state licensure educational requirements required 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  

Experience: 

  • Entry level/new graduates are acceptable; satisfactory completion of clinical work required by the program attended; previous work/clinical experience indicating successful ability to assume responsibilities within a team context required 
  • Two (2) years’ experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.  
  • One (1) year prior experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.  

License(s)/Certification(s): 

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in state(s) of Practice required 
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) through the American Heart Association required 
  • Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing carerequired. 
  • Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing carerequired.
