Overview

Part time, 16 hours per week, 2 days per week, Monday-Friday.

 

The Greeter serves as the welcoming face of the organization and the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors. This role creates a positive first impression by providing friendly assistance, answering questions, and helping guests navigate the facility with ease. In addition to delivering exceptional customer service, the Greeter monitors entrance activity and works closely with team members across the organization to support a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for everyone who enters the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, visitors, and guests with a friendly, professional approach, creating a positive first impression of the facility. 
  • Conduct required health screenings and follow established guidelines to support a safe environment. 
  • Provide clear, accurate information about appointments, services, and next steps to ensure a seamless visitor experience. 
  • Assist with wayfinding by escorting guests or arranging wheelchair and volunteer support as needed. 
  • Utilize strong knowledge of the facility to confidently direct patients and visitors to their destinations. 
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries with exceptional customer service and professionalism. 
  • Monitor entrance areas to maintain an organized, welcoming atmosphere and identify opportunities to assist guests. 
  • Partner with Security to promptly communicate and address safety or security concerns. 
  • Serve as a key ambassador for the organization by delivering compassionate, service-focused support to every visitor. 

Qualifications

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Prior customer service experience is preferred. 

License(s)/Certification(s): 

  • IA & IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.  
  • IA & IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire.
