We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This role plays an important part in patient care by producing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images that help physicians accurately evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients. You’ll combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care while ensuring each examination is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using appropriate equipment, techniques, and protocols.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality images to support physician diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assist physicians with the technical aspects of completed ultrasound examinations.
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients and families and help ensure their comfort and understanding.
  • Coordinate patient schedules and procedures to support efficient patient flow.
  • Assist physicians with procedures while maintaining sterile technique and preventing cross-contamination.
  • Safely transfer, position, and immobilize patients as needed during examinations.
  • Review requisitions to ensure appropriate and complete ultrasound examinations.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate patient records and exam storage.
  • Maintain proficiency with ultrasound equipment and stay knowledgeable of department technology and procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program or ARRT registered required
  • Demonstrated ultrasound experience preferred
  • ARDMS registered or eligible required
  • Maintain required ARRT or ARDMS continuing education (CEU) requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
