Overview

The Administrative Assistant I NE is responsible for providing support to departments and/or healthcare teams with administrative tasks of low complexity. The role works with the administrative team to handle day-to-day communication, scheduling, and coordination of office operations. The role handles phone calls, emails, and correspondence, orders office supplies, and ensures the maintenance of office equipment. The role supports maintaining records, performing data entry, making travel arrangements, and preparing reports, as well as medical billing and insurance documents. The role performs basic administrative and clerical tasks while adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards in all administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic administrative and clerical support to departments and healthcare teams. 
  • Route phone calls, emails, and communications to appropriate staff. 
  • Respond to routine inquiries from staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism. 
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, conference calls, and office events. 
  • Assist with travel arrangements, including transportation and accommodations. 
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and ensure follow-up. 
  • Maintain patient, staff, and departmental records in compliance with privacy standards. 
  • Perform data entry and assist with reports, spreadsheets, and documentation. 
  • Maintain office supplies and support an organized office environment. 
  • Prepare patient forms and assist with medical billing and insurance documentation. 

Qualifications

Education:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in a business- or medical-related field. 

Experience:  

  • At least 1 year of experience in administrative, business, or medical related field.
