Join UnityPoint Health as an Inventory Clerk and help ensure patients and teams have the supplies they need to deliver exceptional care. In this role, you will manage inventory levels, coordinate daily receiving and distribution activities, and support accurate, timely supply processes. You will complete ordering and stocking based on patient and operational needs, maintain clean and organized work areas, and contribute to cost-effective purchasing decisions. This position plays a key role in supporting efficient, high-quality care delivery across the organization.

• Manage day-to-day inventory operations across supply warehouses, ensuring accurate stock levels and reliable availability for clinical and operational needs. 
• Monitor usage trends and adjust par levels, reorder points, and stocking strategies to prevent shortages, overstocking, and waste. 
• Place, track, and receive supply orders through vendor systems, ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and managing substitutions as needed. 
• Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, monthly physical counts, and ongoing reconciliation of stock-on-hand data. 
• Monitor back orders, open orders, and product availability, communicating changes to impacted departments in real time. 
• Coordinate vendor relationships to source products, resolve supply issues, and support continuity of operations. 
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient storage areas, including labeling, shelving, and workflow optimization for picking and stocking. 
• Support compliance activities including recalls, temperature logs, and proper storage standards across all supply areas. 
• Assist with replenishment of floor stock, retail supply points, and unit-based inventory locations. 
• Provide operational input to leadership on supply usage trends, inventory performance, and cost or budget impacts. 

Education: 

• High school diploma/GED required.  

Experience: 

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in purchasing and warehousing in food service required.  
• Two (2) years of experience in logistics with an understanding of the healthcare industry, gathering report requirements, and designing and implementing solutions preferred. 

License(s)/Certification(s): 

• Valid driver’s license required.  
• Valid Auto Insurance required when driving a personal vehicle. 
• ServSafe Certification required within 180 days of hire.
