Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to oncology patients of all ages.
  • Identify and properly label, handle, and process specimens according to established standards.
  • Monitor patients during and after blood draws and respond appropriately to concerns or complications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely specimen delivery to the laboratory.
  • Collaborate with nurses, providers, laboratory staff, and the broader care team to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old

Experience: 

  • Previous phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Successful completion of a phlebotomy, MA or EMT course is preferred
