Join Our Behavioral Health Nursing Team at the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services! 

As a Behavioral Health Nurse, you’ll provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders at our County Oaks or Rock Island facility. You’ll assess and monitor patient needs, provide nursing and medical services, address co-occurring health conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and support safe discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Complete client admissions, assessments, documentation, and required paperwork.
  • Assess client needs and develop appropriate care plans using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria.
  • Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms under the supervision of the Medical Director.
  • Administer medications, complete urine screens, read TB tests, and assist with client physicals.
  • Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, including referrals, transition planning, and safe discharge.
  • Provide high-quality, trauma-informed nursing care while maintaining a safe, therapeutic, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
