The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray exams (based on department needs) under the direction of a radiologist. The Radiology Technologist I provides compassionate direct patient care with an emphasis on maintaining organizational values and standards of behavior. The Radiology Technologist I operates diagnostic X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated portions of the body. Where applicable, the Radiology Technologist I is required to participate in an on-call rotation outside of business hours based on department needs and must be able to work some weekends and holidays.

*Completes a variety of high quality, patient-centered diagnostic X-ray exams on all age ranges (neonatal – elderly) and in varying locations throughout the hospital (based on department needs) in accordance with
established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
*Performs quality control (QC) procedures in compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements independently, ensuring proper functioning of equipment and image quality.
*Troubleshoots equipment issues and errors and reports safety concerns and malfunctions promptly.
*Cleans departmental equipment and verifies all safety/health regulations and policies are met.
*Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of organ/bone/vasculature cross sectional anatomy.
*Assists in the training and clinical instruction of students.
