Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, will flex to earlier shifts as needed, for 64 hours per pay period. There are no weekends or holidays.

• Perform pre-admission assessments, review medical history, and ensure required testing is completed

• Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-op care instructions

• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV placement, medications, and monitoring

• Provide recovery care, monitor vitals, and assess readiness for safe discharge

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team for seamless care

• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety and infection control standards

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire)

Certification/License:

• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 3 months from date of hire
• Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or within 6 months from date of hire
• Must posesse and maintain current Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification or within 6 months from date of hire
