Shift/Schedule: Full-Time; 24-hour shift every 3 days

Marshalltown Hospital is seeking a Paramedic to join our Ambulance team. In this role, you’ll provide advanced prehospital care, respond to a variety of patient needs, and support patients and families during critical moments.

• Provide advanced life support and prehospital care within established EMS guidelines
• Assess patient needs and adjust care based on condition, setting, and response
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and care team members
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of patient care
• Safely transport patients, including those requiring behavioral health support
• Maintain ambulance and secure car readiness through routine checks and restocking
• Clean, prepare, and organize vehicles and equipment for emergency response
• Support hospital-based care needs, including appropriate EMS-level procedures
• Assist nursing and emergency department teams as needed

Education:  

• High school diploma or equivalent is required 
• Successful completion of EMS paramedic training from an approved training course is required 

License(s)/Certification(s): 

• Current certification at EMT-PM level is required.
