We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at the Methodist Hospital Specialty Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who are passionate about women’s health and committed to providing patient-centered care across the lifespan. Whether you bring prior experience in obstetrics and gynecology or are looking to expand your clinical knowledge in this specialty, we welcome your application.
In this role, you will assist in triaging and assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and supporting patients through a wide range of reproductive and gynecologic health concerns. You’ll work closely with experienced OB/GYN providers and healthcare professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Patient Assessment & Triage
• Evaluate incoming patient phone calls to determine the urgency of symptoms such as pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding, pregnancy-related concerns, or infections.
• Provide telephone triage and guide patients to the appropriate level of care, including routine visits, urgent evaluation, or emergency services.
Care Coordination
• Assist in coordinating care for obstetric and gynecologic patients, including prenatal visits, postpartum follow-up, and management of acute or chronic conditions.
• Communicate effectively with OB/GYN providers and the care team to ensure timely, safe, and comprehensive care.
Patient & Family Education
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, postpartum care, contraception, menstrual health, and gynecologic conditions.
• Provide guidance on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care, offering support tailored to individual patient needs.
Clinical Documentation & Follow-Up
• Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress, track outcomes, and coordinate follow-up care to ensure continuity and quality of care.
