The Financial Analyst Senior position provides analytical consulting assistance to the administrative and managerial staff of the region.  This position will be expected to support the financial and operational performance throughout the region through research and analysis as well as identify opportunities for performance improvement.  The Senior Financial Analyst will play a role in helping the organization realize our reporting strategy through performing financial analytics and maintaining strong knowledge of system tools available.  In addition, this position will participate in month-end close review of operating results.  The Senior Analyst will provide financial support for management, including but not limited to analysis of departments, financial statements, costing, benchmarking, budgeting, forecasting, flex budgeting analysis/reporting, and other financial needs as determined.

• Heavy involvement in the operating and capital budgeting process, including partnering with operational leaders to develop annual budgets within targeted levels.
• Develop financial models to be used in the strategic planning process, development of business plans, for capital planning/purchases, new initiatives, exit strategies, etc.
• Report, analyze, monitor and forecast the financial position for the region.
• Monitor and update cost accounting on a regular basis
• Analyze month-end operating results and follow-up with Operations to resolve questions.
• Analyze and interpret financial operations, including income statement, statistical and ratio analysis.
• Service line profitability.
• Prepare financial information and analysis by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings and recommendations.
• Complete special projects and management reports as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years experience with financial analysis;
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong analytical ability;
• Fluent in use of spreadsheet software;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
