• Registers patients for appointments, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Communicates with various departments (e.g., radiology,cardiology) to schedule patient appointments, tests, orprocedures.
• Receives, sorts, and directs mail or faxes, including medical test results, referrals, and lab orders.
• Assists with billing and insurance claim inquiries, providing documentation and following up on unpaid claims.
• Ensures all relevant patient information, forms, and consent documents are ready for medical staff before consultations or procedures.
• Supports the team in following HIPAA guidelines and other healthcare regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Monitors proper filing, scanning, and maintenance of patient records, including updating and retrieving medical files.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
• Handles materials management tasks, including ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies.
• Interviews patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts accurately.
• Answers calls and emails, providing information about appointments, procedures, and insurance coverage.

High school diploma or equivalent. Required
1 year One year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. Required
