Shift:  6:30 PM - 7:00 AM + every other Friday and Saturday (3 days per week)

Responsibilities

  • Administer oxygen and PAP therapy per physician orders; instruct patients on equipment use and care.
  • Write detailed, accurate reports of findings and therapeutic interventions.
  • Collect and review patient medical history, medications, and relevant information for study appropriateness.
  • Maintain, calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Evaluate patient and family educational needs; provide direct education or referrals.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Polysomnographic, Respiratory Therapy, or Electroneurodiagnostic program required
  • Associate's degree in health sciences preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in a Sleep Center required

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
    • Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)  OR
  • Sleep Disorder Specialist
    • National Board for Respiratory Therapy Care
  • State licensure in Polysomnographic Technology or Respiratory Care required where applicable 
    • Iowa board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography (IBRC)
    • Illinois Department Of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
    • Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH)
    • Iowa Board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography (IBRC)
    • Wisconsin Department OfSafety And Professional Services (WIDSPS)
