Overview

In addition to assisting leaders with administrative and regulatory functions, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Lead performs diagnostic and therapeutic sonographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Lead provides compassionate direct patient care with an emphasis on maintaining organizational values and standards of behavior. Sonography is operator-dependent, and its optimal performance requires a highly skilled and well-educated individual who can continuously integrate known clinical information with ultrasound image content and related physiologic data to tailor the examination to ensure that it is comprehensive and accurate. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Lead is required to participate in an on-call rotation outside of business hours based on department needs and must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
