To assume overall responsibility of the Child Development Center functions, including enrollment, supervision of staff, and compliance with policies and procedures of UnityPoint Health-Des Moines and the Department of Human Services. · Prepares and administers annual department budget, ensures that the center operates within established budgetary parameters: supervises the purchase of equipment and supplies. Monitor, cost, quality, service, productivity, and utilization of the center.
· Responsible for applied personnel actions including, but not limited to: assigning and directing work, recruitment, retention, compensation, discipline, policies, addressing complaints and problem resolution.
· Develops the policies for the center and uses judgment in the enforcement of current policies/procedures and exercises appropriate policies and procedures for the department, UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, Department of Human Services, and the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
| Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in early childhood and/or related field |

Experience:
| Minimum of three years management experience in an early childhood program. Experience in NAEYC accreditation process |

License(s)/Certification(s):
| Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting, First Add/CPR certification. |
