Overview

We’re seeking a Patient Access Representative to support a smooth, accurate, and welcoming experience for patients and visitors. This role plays a key part in patient admission, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring every interaction is efficient and compliant with financial and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately collect, analyze, and record demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data in the system, ensuring all required documentation is complete. 
  • Maintain strong knowledge of insurance plans and verification processes. 
  • Answer and route phone calls professionally; take accurate messages. 
  • Educate patients on financial obligations, including point of service (POS) collections and estimates. 
  • Assist with patient selfservice registration processes. 
  • Monitor and manage multiple work queues to ensure timely workflow. 
  • Refer patients who need financial assistance with their clinic/hospital bills to a Financial Advocate  
  • Schedule walk in procedures and collaborate with central scheduling regarding other needs 

Qualifications

Education:

High School Graduate.

Previous customer service experience

 

Experience:

Data entry and typing.  Hospital experience or business training helpful.
