The Manager, Social Services, under direction of the Director of Case Management, is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of social services on the patient care departments which is consistent with the organizational strategic plan, goals and objectives for patient care services. The Medical Social Service (MSS) Manager is responsible for 24-hour management of the social service department. The MSS Manager demonstrates the principles of Servant Leadership, communicates exceptionally, and motivates others to achieve high outcomes through work with multidisciplinary teams. This person serves as chief recruitment and retention officer for department and works in collaboration with case management leadership to identify areas of improvement regarding practice, policies, and processes. The MSS Manager is directly accountable to the Director of Case Management.
