The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible, under the direction of a Pathologist and the Manager, for the management of personnel as well as assuring good laboratory practice for assigned pre-analytic, analytic and post analytic workflows. The Laboratory Supervisor responsibilities include: 1) supervision of key processes and the team members performing that work, 2) training and developing team members, 3) scheduling and staffing to workload, 4) lean process improvement, 5) regulatory and accreditation compliance, and 6) inspection readiness.

Educaton
Associates degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited institution
Or
Bachelor degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology degree from an accredited institution
Or
Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science.
Must include at least 60 semester hours, or equivalent, from an accredited institution that, at a minimum, include either-
o 6 semester hours of chemistry;
o 6 semester hours of biology;
and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination
Experience
At least 2 years of clinical laboratory or similar healthcare experience.
