Shift: Part-time: Evenings, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, for 32 hours per pay period. There is an every other weekend rotation. This is a student position and will end once finished with the program.
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Respiratory Therapy Student to join our hospital’s Respiratory Care team. This position provides hands-on clinical experience under the direct supervision of licensed Respiratory Therapists and physicians. The student will assist in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients across various hospital units, including critical care, emergency, and general medical floors. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced acute care environment while completing your respiratory therapy program.

Assist licensed Respiratory Therapists with respiratory treatments and procedures
Set up and maintain respiratory equipment, including oxygen delivery systems and aerosol devices
Support non-invasive ventilation and mechanical ventilation setup under supervision
Perform basic patient assessments (vital signs, pulse oximetry) as permitted by policy
Document care provided in the electronic medical record (under supervision)
Respond to respiratory therapy calls and emergencies as part of the care team
Maintain equipment cleanliness and adhere to infection control standards
Participate in department meetings and ongoing educational opportunities
Education:
Completion of foundational respiratory coursework (clinical experience preferred)
