In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee the daily workflow of the Anatomic Pathology section, ensuring timely, accurate results that directly impact patient care. You’ll collaborate closely with cytology technologists, pathology assistants, and pathologists providing technical support for frozen sections and assisting with onsite procedures across our Trinity Rock Island, Moline, and Bettendorf campuses.

This role will be primarily office-based with less hands-on pathology work, so familiarity with computer systems and experience in an office setting are essential.

Performs specimen intake, accessioning, documentation, and data entry into laboratory computer systems (strong computer skills required)
Reviews specimens for accuracy, ensures proper patient identification, and follows QA guidelines for handling and processing
Manages electronic reports, including editing, printing, and distributing results as needed
Provides administrative and operational support to pathology staff, including transcription duties and inspection readiness preparation
Coordinates specimen processing and transport to testing laboratories in a timely manner
Maintains records for routine equipment maintenance and assists with troubleshooting in coordination with technical staff
Orders and tracks departmental supplies and reagents to support daily operations
Supports department organization by maintaining clean, safe, and efficient workstations and office areas
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
