Are you a detail-driven Pharmacy Technician ready to make a difference?  As a Pharmacy Technician II, you’ll work side-by-side with pharmacists to prepare, package, and distribute medications safely and accurately, using both hands-on skills and cutting-edge automation.  From inventory management to non-sterile compounding, you’ll keep pharmacy operations running smoothly while supporting excellent patient care.

• Receive, enter, and process prescription orders under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Prepare, label, and package medications for dispensing including non-sterile compounding.
• Maintain accurate patient profiles and prescription records.
• Deliver medications or supplies to the appropriate team, patient, or department per policy or protocol.
• Responsible for the proper storage and security of medications, supplies, and equipment in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures and all applicable laws.
• Greet and assist patients in person, at bedside, and by phone in a professional, courteous manner.
• Answer routine questions and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Resolve basic insurance and billing issues to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Process point-of-sale transactions and handle cash/credit payments.

Education:  High school graduate or equivalent.

Licenses/Certifications:

• IL Cert Pharmacy Tech; IA preferred.
• National Certification from one of the following:
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
  • National Healthcareer Association
• Class 1 Driver License (IA, IL or WI)
• Proof of Auto Insurance

Experience:  1 year pharmacy technician experience.
