• Monitors patient heart rhythms
• Interprets heart rhythms and documents tracings per unit guidelines
• Communicates all changes in heart rhythms and/or capnography to the provider
• Cleans and tracks all telemetry devices
• Cleans and tracks all vocera devices
• Ensures accommodation codes are up to date
• Performs 12-lead EKGs as ordered
• Assists with telemetry monitor positioning as needed
• Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines

Education: 

• High school graduate or equivalent required

Experience: 

• Previous Monitor Tech experience preferred
• Previous nursing assistant experience preferred

License(s)/Certification(s): 

• Certified in Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
• Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Certification Paramedic Certification preferred
