Overview

UnityPoint-St. Lukes

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm, every other weekend, occasional holidays

 

This position performs essential Supply Chain functions as it relates to the transporting of supplies, equipment, written communications and other vital patient care related items.  Utilizes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to properly issue products from Central Inventory location.

Sorts and delivers mail.

Responsibilities

  • Transports supplies, parcels, monies, lab samples and written communication on Medical Center campus. Occasionally transport Haz Mat items.
  • Maintains integrity of items for delivery. Room temperature refrigerated or frozen.
  • Maintains predetermined PAR levels of equipment on inpatient units
  • Sorts materials carefully and accurately.
  • Sorts and delivers incoming US Postal Service mail.
  • Deliver and maintain crash cart drawers within the Medical Center. In critical situations, will be responsible for replenishing crash cart drawers. 
  • Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.  Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff.  Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivilent.

Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license
