The Clinic Administrator is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and administrative performance of a medical office practice. This role provides leadership and oversight of daily clinic operations, ensures alignment with organizational goals and policies, and partners with providers and organizational leadership to deliver efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Provide full oversight of daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows, staffing coverage, and adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Lead, supervise, and develop clinical and administrative staff, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and staff training.
Manage clinic financial operations, including payroll reporting, accounts payable and receivable oversight, budget development, and review of financial performance.
Identify and resolve operational issues, monitor performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance quality, access, and patient experience.
Partner with providers, medical leadership, and organizational leaders to support provider performance, clinic strategy, and operational alignment.
Implement and sustain organizational and clinic-level strategic initiatives while fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary liaison between clinic staff, providers, and organizational leadership to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Ensure clinic preparedness and provide leadership during emergencies to maintain the safety of staff, patients, visitors, facilities, and protected health information.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field preferred; master’s degree preferred.
Experience
Two to three years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare or business setting.
Experience with clinical or medical office operations, including billing, accounts receivable, and familiarity with ICD and CPT coding.
Preferred experience in personnel management, financial oversight, budgeting, facilities management, and process improvement.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills and ability to use standard office and healthcare systems.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Knowledge of personnel administration, patient relations, and application of policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
