The Unit Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within a healthcare unit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Unit Clerk serves as a central point of contact for staff, patients, families, and other departments, assisting with administrative functions, patient flow, and assisting with unit activities.

• Prioritizes dissemination of information using available technology.
• Assists with maintaining readiness of patient care equipment.

• Manages supplies and patient care supplies, i.e., order, obtain and store supplies.
• Must be able to transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher.
• Must be able to manipulate cart loaded with supplies.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Unit clerk experience or experience in a medical office setting preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English. Multicultural Sensitivity. Microsoft Office-basic computer skills. Customer/Patient focus. Critical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisions
