Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Family Medicine Clinic, including provider schedules, staffing coverage, and patient flow to support comprehensive primary care services.

  • Provide frontline leadership for clinical and front-office staff, including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.

  • Optimize clinic workflows, appointment access, and care coordination to improve efficiency, continuity of care, and patient experience.

  • Ensure adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards, including infection prevention, preventive care, and chronic disease management workflows.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff concerns, providing guidance, conflict resolution, and escalation when appropriate.

  • Promote clear, compassionate communication among providers, staff, patients, and leadership to support a patient-centered environment.

  • Support team-based care delivery and coordination with care management, behavioral health, and specialty referral services.

  • Ensure timely patient follow-up, continuity of care, and adherence to care plans across preventive, acute, and chronic conditions.

  • Lead clinic response during emergencies and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Support clinic financial and operational goals through effective resource utilization, scheduling optimization, and cost-conscious practices.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and infection prevention standards.

  • Monitor environmental safety and ensure secure handling of protected health information.

  • Track operational, quality, and patient satisfaction metrics and support performance improvement initiatives.

  • Model the organization’s mission, vision, and values and maintain compliance with required training, licensure, and attendance expectations.

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable culture focused on quality improvement and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Education:

  • RN, LPN, or CMA credential with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Business or healthcare management degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of clinic operations experience preferred.

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare is a plus.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active RN/LPN/CMA credential.

  • Valid driver's license if driving for work-related duties.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in EPIC and Microsoft Office a plus!

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, and patient experience best practices.
