Responsibilities

  • Supports and manages the coordination of all aspects of medication acquisition and distribution to meet the goals and priorities of regional and UPH pharmacy services.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight, assuming the responsibility as the Pharmacist in Charge, as applicable.
  • Helps plan and sustain clinical pharmacy programs to enhance patient care and performs and/or delegates the human resources functions of hiring, training, corrective action, evaluations, and staff development.
  • Maintains own personal goals and assists with developing departmental goals in support of the entire organization, including meeting budget targets.
  • Leads quality initiatives to improve efficiency, process, workflows, and outcomes both within the pharmacy and within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Responsible for supervising and implementing all aspects of the 340B programs, including audits, compliance, and daily operations, if applicable.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Experience: 

  • Must have a minimum of (4) four years of relevant experience

Certification/License: 

  • Must have an Iowa Pharmacist License issued by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
