A Diagnostic Radiographer is responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures on patients of all ages which requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and for assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Performs diagnostic radiologic imaging by preparing equipment, positioning patients accurately, and capturing quality images based on provider orders.
Ensures patient and team safety by following radiation safety standards, ALARA principles, and departmental protocols.
Accurately documents exams and patient information in imaging and medical record systems, ensuring complete and correct exam identification.
Maintains radiology equipment and work areas in clean and ready condition; promptly reports equipment issues or malfunctions.
Follows exam techniques, protocols, and physician instructions to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and imaging outcomes.
Transports and assists patients during procedures while providing compassionate, safe, and professional support.
Participates in rotating schedules, including call, weekends, and holidays, as required by the department.
Collaborates effectively with providers and team members to resolve patient care needs and respond to urgent or emergent situations.
Supports departmental quality assurance by performing required quality control checks and equipment calibration.
Engages in ongoing education and skill development to maintain competency and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values.
