Responsibilities

Recruitment Responsibilities

  • Goals and objectives in accordance with organizational needs.
  • Partner with physician and APP leadership, including APP Committee, to plan for APP recruitment needs
  • Screen, refer and evaluate qualified applicants for practice opportunities within the organization and oversee the coordination of all reference checks and documentation of information on candidates.
  • Follow-up with candidates after visit to ensure all questions have been answered.
  • Source candidates utilizing established databases and coordinate with other recruiters to ensure consistency of communication to candidates.
  • Ensure contracts are executed utilizing system-wide processes and policies.
  • Ensure a seamless onsite interview experience in partnership with market leadership and Recruitment Coordinators.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with local and Midwest-based training programs.
  • Ensure APP and family have necessary contacts and information for assimilation into new community.
  • Maintain provider relationships through follow-up meetings with new providers.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs to build a pipeline of future talent
  • Collaborate with Provider Services Specialists to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Carry out the organization’s retention programs and activities.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other’s views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.
  • Engage UnityPoint Health physicians and APPs in active searches, promoting referrals and network connections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director and Manager of Physician/Provider Recruitment to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of APP recruitment.

Administrative Support

  • Draft, format, and proofread professional correspondence, reports, and recruitment-related documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain and organize candidate and recruitment files ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational recordkeeping standards.
  • Support the Provider Recruitment team by performing additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Director or Manager of Provider Recruitment to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Stay current on internal systems, organizational policies, and procedures relevant to recruitment and administrative support functions.
  • Complete all required annual training and educational sessions within designated timeframes.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or public relations field preferred, or related experience.

 

Work Experience

Two years of experience with a health care organization preferred.

Recruitment experience

Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
