Marketing Communications Business Partner

Full-time

Shift: Monday-Friday 8a-5p

Location: Remote/work from home with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.

 

The Marketing & Communications Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to multiple key business areas, developing and executing marketing and communications plans that advance high-priority organizational objectives. As part of the Marketing & Communications team, this role collaborates closely with cross-functional colleagues to produce internal and external campaigns, materials, and other assets that drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership, Consultation and Planning 

  • Develop, execute and manage marketing and communications plans to support strategic priorities and special projects for key business areas within the organization 
  • Build effective relationships with business area leaders and teams, and develop detailed knowledge of the business  
  • Serve as a strategic partner to business teams, developing appropriate and effective marketing and communications strategies that address business needs and goals 
  • Engage regularly with assigned business areas to remain up-to-date on current priorities and initiatives, and plan proactively for upcoming needs  
  • Engage collaboratively with cross-functional marketing and communications team members to develop comprehensive, integrated plans designed to achieve organizational objectives  
  • Bring a high level of quality and consistency in communications strategy, planning, scheduling and project execution
  • Communicate with a complex workforce audience that is both onsite and mobile, as well as spread out across various geographies and locations

Writing & Materials Development 

  • Write and edit communication material and manage review process with business area and other stakeholders 
  • Ensure communications are aligned with other current organizational messages 
  • Ensure communications are in plain language and distill complex information so it is easily understandable for a wide range of audiences
  • Partner with content team to develop editorial content and maximize it across appropriate communication channels  
  • Partner with creative services on print and design materials 
  • Partner with marketing and digital services on creation of campaigns and digital marketing assets

Project Management 

  • Manage planning and projects from conception to implementation for business area(s) 
  • Ensure synchronization of activities to increase impact and avoid information overload 
  • Responsible for marketing and communication plans, timelines, status reports and project completion results reporting
  • Exchange information effectively between business area(s) and project stakeholders to ensure quality of work 
  • Analyze, measure and document effectiveness of executed marketing and communication strategies 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field 

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, internal communications or account service  
  • Experience in healthcare industry, or experience in account or agency management preferred
