Shift: 4 Days/Week; 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM+ Call

Join a collaborative Cath Lab team where your skills make a real impact. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients during specialized cardiac procedures, working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

In this fast-paced environment, you will take on a variety of roles including circulator, monitor, scrub, and supply, while also administering procedural sedation under physician supervision. You will practice within the ANA Code of Ethics and UnityPoint Health’s Professional Nurse Practice Model.

• Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate teaching and making the necessary referrals to provide continuity of care.
• Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient’s care.
• Assess and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient’s and their families’ age specific needs, culture, gender, readiness to learn and level of comprehension.
• Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
• Demonstrates and maintains proficiency in the manual skills and techniques required to operate specialized equipment in the Electrophysiology lab

Education:

• Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
• Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must possess and maintain ACLS
• Maintain Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
