Transporter 

Marshalltown Hospital

Full-Time; Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p

 

Transport associates are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patient, visitors, equipment, and goods throughout the facility.  They will help fill in at the front desk as needed which would including greeting patients, checking them in and answering department phones.  In addition to these responsibilities they are expected to demonstrate the vision of the hospital while at all times following Marshalltown FOCUS values.

Responsibilities

  • Follows established departmental policies and procedures to accurately verify and transport the patient.
  • Transport patients, charts, and required equipment to various treatment and diagnostic areas safely
  • Helps with the communication to the nursing units about the transporting of their patients to the Diagnostic Imaging Department
  • Helps with radiology front desk duties including greeting patients, checking patients in, scheduling and answering department phones.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

 

Preferred:

  • Customer Service Experience
