Overview

The Director of Ancillary Services supports the Vice President of Operations in the overall planning, development, and effective delivery of services across multiple departments, including Facilities, Environmental Services (EVS), Food and Nutrition Services, Therapy Services, Volunteers, Public Safety, Gift Shop, Residency Program, and other assigned business support functions.

Responsibilities

This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered services. Responsibilities include oversight of human resource management, fiscal accountability, operational excellence, and the cultivation of engaged and professional teams. The Director plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement, fostering innovation, and aligning departmental operations with UPH’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or support services required
  • Demonstrated success in managing diverse teams and leading cross-functional initiatives required
  • Experience in leading within a healthcare setting preferred
