• Float Pay Bonus: PCTs earn an additional $2/hr for float shifts

• Diverse Experience: Work across 17 different units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Rehab at all three campuses—Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and Methodist West Hospital.

• Dynamic Environment: Enjoy the flexibility of floating every 4 hours, gaining exposure to a wide range of patient care scenarios.

• Balanced Scheduling: Every 4th weekend rotation and holiday coverage includes just one winter and one summer holiday.

• PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
• Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
• Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
• Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
• Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• CNA certification required
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire
• Valid Driver's License required

Experience: 

• Six months of hospital clinical experience

Other: 

• Must be 16 years old or older
• Level 3 Medium Work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
