Responsibilities

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Team Member (EMT, CMA, LPN, or RN) to join our Urgent Care team in Urbandale, IA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, walk-in medical setting. This role involves both clinical and administrative tasks to support providers and ensure excellent patient outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient intake including vital signs, medical histories, and documentation in EMR systems

  • Administer medications and injections per provider orders and scope of practice

  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection with proper labeling and handling

  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments

  • Maintain clinical equipment and exam room cleanliness and stocking

  • Provide patient education and instructions as directed by provider

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and safety standards

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide holistic care

Qualifications

EMT Candidates:

  • Valid EMT Certification (State of Iowa or National Registry)

  • Phlebotomy experience required

  • Current BLS Certification (AHA or equivalent)

  • Ability to obtain these prior to starting

CMA Candidates:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program

  • Certified through one of the following:

    • AAMA (Certified Medical Assistant - CMA)

    • NHA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - CCMA)

    • AMT (Registered Medical Assistant - RMA)

    • NCCT (National Certified Medical Assistant - NCMA)

  • Phlebotomy experience required

  • Current BLS Certification

LPN or RN Candidates:

  • Current Iowa LPN or RN license in good standing

  • Phlebotomy experience required

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current BLS Certification
